Bill Pappas
This body of work is the result of several recent trips both near and far. Certain scenes and objects seem to present themselves to me for study, so rather than continuously recording everything I see, I tend to concentrate on those situations, usually shooting from a few different angles and using various focal lengths to further enhance the perspective. When I edit images later I'm sometimes surprised to find the subject, that when captured did not seem to be the strongest interpretation, turns out to be the more compelling photograph.

John Davis
I grew up in Greater Cleveland. I graduated from Muskingum College. After graduation I set up a studio for almost 30 years I operated Davis Pottery and Gallery in Chautauqua Lake NY. In 1999 I retired, and since then have concentrated on my paintings. I work mainly in watercolor, but egg tempera and acrylics as well.
I usually paint places I care about and visit often. My paintings are part of my history; they are people, places and scenes in my life. Since I have spent most of my life in Cleveland and Chautauqua, these areas have inspired me, and many of my paintings represent this.
In this exhibit I am drawn back to the rural farmlands of Chautauqua County. I take a long look back with a fresh perspective as I am about to move into downtown Cleveland. I revisit the country side that was my home for 30 years. The farms and landscapes are like old friends with their quiet moods in winter and early spring.
